The Hamachi Baja Long Range™ is a purpose-built stand-up big game bent butt rod — designed from the ground up for the kind of offshore fishing where the targets dwarf the angler. Built on a carbon composite blank with full Kevlar reinforcing, it delivers the backbone to work against Big Marlin, Giant Bluefin Tuna, Swordfish, and Dogtooth Tuna at IGFA line classes without the limitations that plague lighter-weight game rods when they are pushed to their limits in a stand-up belt-and-harness fight.

The 24–37kg (50–80lb IGFA) is the versatile mid-range model — the class that chases striped marlin, big sailfish, yellowfin tuna, and wahoo on most long-range offshore trips.

 

The 37kg (80lb IGFA) single-class rod gives dedicated stand-up game anglers a blank tuned precisely to one class weight for maximum tournament compliance and feel.

 

The 37–60kg (80–130lb IGFA) is the Big blue marlin, black marlin, Giant Bluefin Tuna, bigeye tuna trolling and for swordfish at depth where rig weights often run into the kilos, and the fish has hundred of meters of depth if it decides it isn't stopping. In this class, the Carbon & Kevlar blank reinforcement stops being a spec sheet detail and becomes the reason the rod remains in one piece at the end of the fight.

All three models are rated primarily for trolling and stray-line livebait presentations, with a capable secondary rating for deep drop bottom fishing and drone fishing — the full toolkit for a serious offshore day on the water. The CNC aluminium bent butt interfaces with all major gimbal belts. The fully rollered guide train — five custom Big Foot rollers plus an oversized rollered tip, all stainless steel with bearings — handles heavy braid, dacron, and monofilament under full drag pressure without heat build-up. The full-length custom leather grip or knurled duralon keeps the rod in your hands through hours of pumping. Compatible with every major game reel in production 16 - 130 sizes and all major electric reel brands 6/0 and bigger.
