The Hamachi XOS GT'n'Doggie™ Ultra Long Cast (ULC) is one of our flagship popping and stickbait rod series — built from a high-performance nano technology composite blank that weighs just 373 grams yet generates the kind of stopping power that has no business existing in a rod this light.

 

The taper is purpose-engineered for surface lure fishing: soft enough in the tip to twitch and bloop a popper convincingly, then loading up instantly to drive every kilo of fighting force straight into the fish when the strike comes.

The range is available in two lengths and three build formats. The 7'6" 3-piece (packing to ~76cm) is the most versatile option in the lineup — equally capable from the boat, beach, rock platform, river mouth or estuary, covering PE 1–2 (10–20lb) through to PE 2–4 (20–40lb) and casting lures from 10g up to 70g.

 

The 9'6" 3-piece (packing to ~97cm) steps up the lever length for serious casting distance on beaches and rock ledges in PE 1–2 and PE 2–4, and is the go-to when you need a popper or stickbait landing on the horizon.

 

For anglers who need to pack light, the 9'6" 5-piece EXTREME TRAVELLER - XTR breaks down to just 58cm — carry-on legal — available in PE 2–5 (20–50lb) for the full range of surface work, and PE 5–13 (50–130lb) for those chasing trophy-class fish in serious terrain. The PE 5–13 5-piece is also the only rod in the range rated for drone fishing.

 

Throw the full species book at this rod, and it handles all of it: Giant Trevally, Yellowfin and Dogtooth Tuna, Kingfish, Queenfish, Tarpon, Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Cobia, Mulloway, Striped Bass, Red Drum and Salmon — right through to fast running big rivers for Amazon Redtail, Mekong and Wels catfish.
